About Draw Near to Me
Welcome! Draw Near to Me is written by Silvia Kang. Through it, she hopes to fulfill a calling that God has placed on her life to provide a place where others are invited in to seek the Lord by experiencing life with her, reading faith journeys and stories of others, and finding community with each other.
In each offering, she hopes that you would find encouragement, laughter, joy, and strength as we struggle through our walks of faith and stand in awe for how God moves in our lives. It is about being authentic with our stories and struggles, rejoicing in the wins, and even finding gratitude in the little things that God places in our paths. From her stories, sharing of faith journeys, thoughts about things God places on her heart through life or sermons (wherever!), and yes, even a little bit of a sharing a recipe here and there just because it is all about that feel of community.
Who is Silvia Kang?
Silvia is a Jesus follower. She currently is a scientist with a Ph.D. in Immunology and Master’s in Management. She lives in the United States and is following the calling of God to share stories of faith and to encourage both non-believers and believers to draw near to God. She is also a confidence coach that helps Christian women break barriers in their lives to be able to live a more abundant life in God.
She is married to a wonderful husband, and they have a fur-baby who they love, but also continue to hope that God will build their family. She enjoys kayaking, hiking, eating, boxing (heavy bags only… no desire to actually get punched in the face), reading, volunteering, and spending time with family and friends.
